Petrochemicals Carbon Footprint Reduction Project

Scope

The team supported a global multinational chemicals company quantify and compare the “well to product” CO₂eq emissions from two main ethylene production routes for finance and permitting applications.

Services

• A quantitative lifecycle analysis evaluated the direct and indirect (Scope 1 & 2) CO₂eq emissions resulting from the production of ethylene from shale gas ethane compared with crude oil
• The Lifecycle Analysis Study was latterly updated to align to the project reconfiguration and conform with ISO-14067 requirements

• Detailed CO₂eq Oil to Europe Transport Study
• Green Energy and Renewables Complex Opportunity Study
• Detailed Complex Energy Efficiency Study

• The client was provided with the necessary data to support the project finance and permitting applications
• The Lifecycle Analysis Study was successful audited by an independent third-party
