rhi's origins can be traced back to the late 19th century. Originally part of Rider Hunt and Partners, a firm of quantity surveyors in London, rhi was established to provide quantity surveying and project controls services to the oil refining and petrochemical industries.
During the 1970s, the upstream oil & gas industry's focus on developing the North Sea resulted in a step-change in the scale and technical complexity of projects.
The continuing search for oil & gas in some of the world's most challenging environments, and the increasing scale of projects has resulted in rhi’s growth and services being in demand internationally.
In 2008, rhi was acquired by Amec Foster Wheeler, and in 2017, with the acquisition and merger of Amec Foster Wheeler and Wood Group to form Wood.
Since then rhi has grown with the integration with Altablue, a specialist in resource solutions with an established reputation spanning almost three decades for delivering complete and progressive recruitment and workforce solutions.
Together, we focus on delivering information and resources that will support our clients’ direction using specialist sector knowledge across the life of an asset, from concept to decommissioning.
